Set against the glamorous and fiercely competitive world of high fashion, The Devil Wears Prada follows aspiring journalist Andy Sachs as she lands the coveted role of assistant to Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Initially indifferent to couture and industry culture, Andy undergoes a striking transformation under the guidance of fashion director Nigel while navigating impossible demands, exclusive events, and the unrelenting pace of editorial life. Meryl Streep’s commanding portrayal of Miranda reveals the complexity behind a woman whose impeccable standards have shaped trends and careers across the fashion landscape. Director David Frankel captures the artistry, ambition, and sacrifices that define the industry, showcasing how style is inseparable from discipline and vision. Elegant, witty, and endlessly quotable, The Devil Wears Prada remains a modern fashion classic that celebrates the power of reinvention and the timeless allure of great design.
