Slimer

Inspired by Ghostbusters' iconic green ghost, this Slimer-themed cocktail blends Midori, peanut butter whiskey, agave, and lemon juice into a silky-sweet, glowingly green drink that’s as easy to drink as he was to lure into a posh hotel banquet.

Stay Puft

This indulgent S’mores-inspired cocktail pays tribute to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man with a smoky-sweet blend of Baileys, Crème de Cacao, hazelnut liqueur, and mezcal—topped off with a toasted marshmallow and graham cracker rim for the perfect campfire-style nightcap.

Who Ya Gonna Call? Ghostbusters Bust Onto the Scene with Spectral Laughs, Supernatural Action, and Two Spooky Cocktails!

Ghostbusters is a Columbia-Delphi production that was directed by Ivan Reitman; written and starred by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis; additionally starring Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, and Rick Moranis with a supporting role by Ernie Hudson. Stuffed into a muon trap (ghost trap), this 1 hour 45 minute is about 3 paranormal professor-hobbyists turned paranormal business operators. Business is suddenly and inexplicably booming after Dr. Venkman (Bill Murray) is retained by an attractive cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) to deal with her paranormal  problem in the refrigerator (other than the junk food). They have a run in with Slimer and then the iconic musical montage where they’re building their business and showing the world they aren’t crazy for leaning in on the paranormal. In the end the ultimate conflict will be: Does Dr. Venkman have to zap his newly lust-interest-turned-demigod-demon possibly killing her or condemning her to the other demon-sion (ha ha see what I did there)/or/ Will the answer lie in doing precisely what Egon (Harold Ramis) warned against and cross proton beams to create the ultimate burnt marshmallow?

We had to create cocktails for this Sci-Fi cult classic, and of course, we had to base them around our favorite spooks from this film too! Our first cocktail is inspired by the iconic gluttonous green ghost   Slimer.  We use Midori to get the classic Slimer-green look and the sweet, musk melon flavor.  Combined with Peanutbutter whiskey, and Agave you get a deliciously sweet, and lightly nutty flavor that is carried through the palate with lemon juice.  To get a thicker, Slimer like consistency, we blend xantham gum into the cocktail with a frothing wand.  Serve it in a chilled coupe and express a lemon peel on top to brighten the whole drink and give it a little bit of e lemon scent.  With this silky-sweet cocktail, you'll want to get Slimed!

Our second cocktail is a S’mores cocktail inspired by the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man- We just can’t help think about it just like Dr. Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) it’s such a tasty way to cap off the evening! We've improved the common S'more cocktail recipe by using the usual Baileys and Crème de Cacao, but adding in Hazelnut Liqueur to give the cocktail additional sweetness, a slight nutty, but mostly a cracker like flavor when combined with Mezcal which also gives the cocktail that  bit of campfire flavor we thought was missing in traditional recipes.  Garnished with a chocolate sauce and graham cracker crust rim, along with a marshmallow that you toast using a little bit of over-proofed rum.  This cocktail is a lot of fun to make, look at, and drink.  Definitely a nice sweet to end the day.

Do you have what it takes to become a Ghostbuster? Janine: “Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?” As Zeddmore says, “Ah, if there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say.” If not, perhaps, if you have two tasty, Ghostbusters inspired cocktails to drink, you might believe too.
