At first glance, supervillain Gru seems far more interested in stealing the moon than in raising children, but his carefully laid plans are turned upside down when three spirited orphan girls—Margo, Edith, and Agnes—unexpectedly enter his life. What begins as a scheme to use the girls to further his latest caper gradually evolves into a heartwarming lesson about love, trust, and the joys of family. Along the way, Gru and his loyal Minions navigate plenty of laughs and mishaps while discovering that meaningful relationships are more rewarding than any grand achievement. With colorful animation, memorable characters, and plenty of humor for both kids and adults, Despicable Me offers a family-friendly adventure with lasting appeal. At its core, the film is a touching reminder that parenthood can arrive in unexpected ways and that even the most unlikely caregivers can make a world of difference in a child’s life.
