A sultry fusion of Porn Star Martini flair and fruity margarita boldness, the Roller Girl cocktail blends passion fruit, sparkling rosé, and reposado tequila into a vibrant, tropical tribute to Brandy’s iconic charm, complete with a sweet-and-salty rim as playful as her roller skates. (Recipe Below)
Based on the Horner Productions starlet Roller Girl which is really the best cocktail recipe balancing the porn star martini and our favorite fruity margarita! Brandy, who goes by the name “Roller Girl” on film, is a beautiful girl whose signature look is her long blonde hair and the roller skates that she never takes off. We couldn’t resist the urge to use colors and flavors from the famed Porn Star Martini and turn it into a Margarita, because in this movie, there’s nothing more iconic at a pool party than a porn star and a margarita! The signature passion fruit flavor and a sparkling rose is really what makes a porn star martini. We use a Cheap, Sparkling Rose for the bubbly sensation and to brighten the flavors of the overall cocktail, which is fitting for Roller Girl’s general demeanor. For the passion fruit, we used both Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur and Passion Fruit Puree which give the cocktail a silky texture with a tropical fruit sweetness filled with flavor and pleasure. The hidden hero here is the Vanilla Simple Syrup which give the cocktail a floral, buttery flavor. Finally, we did want to make this a margarita, so we must have Tequila! We recommend a Reposado, which has more body and depth than a Blanco and can stand up to the flavors of the passion fruit. A mezcal could be used as a substitute if you like the additional smoky and leather flavors that it provides. We recommend serving this in a large Margarita glass with two tenderly-handled spheres of ice rather than crushed, and be sure to serve it with a turbinado sugar rim on one side and a course salt rim on the other because we know Roller Girl likes it both ways.

Lime Juice
6% - 8.5% Acidity
Lime juice is generally the most acidic of the citrus fruit juices used cocktails. The high acidity can help balance flavors and smooth bitterness as well as astringent flavors of high-spirited or unfiltered alcohol. Limes that have had more time to ripen will render a more concentrated and sweeter flavor with floral notes adding complexity to a cocktail. It is advisable to taste your fresh-pressed juice and adjust added sweeteners accordingly.
-
Vanilla
White vanilla is chosen for its lack of color and overall smoother flavor. Pure Mexican vanilla is ideal to give the cocktail a strong vanilla flavor.
